Intitle „live View Axis Dress

weekend in Emden

For an interesting project I like to take 300 km distance on me and I landed in East Friesian climes, specifically in Emden. The opportunity for Forelock gripping, I decided to insert a short break in Emden.

held during my tour of the seaport town I suddenly stopped and my eyes got stuck on a boat sculpture. Funny thought, I decided and I, for further Beäugung to control the sculpture.

It turned out that the 1.2-ton work of the internationally known artist Erwin Wurm has been specifically designed for the currently running exhibition realism in the Kunsthalle Emden.

visit to this exhibition was clear and I walked through fascinating and here and there with my mouth open the halls, in which 180 works in painting, photography, sculpture, video art and graphics from more than 100 international artists such as Edward Hopper, Andreas Gursky, Gustave Courbet and Wilhelm Leibl, to were to name a few presents.

Although the images of various styles were just great, so I still have most liked the sculptures. Of these, especially the painted bronze sculpture "Reclining Amber" by John de Andrea. The figure of 2006 is as realistic a way that they prefer the bare foot tickling, and would laugh.
And the "Two Works" by Duane Hanson give very credible first impression one would walk into a room, are working in the still. I almost offered to help ...

Until 24.05.10 the exhibition can still be seen in Emden, before it moves on to Munich and Rotterdam.

I am grateful that I was allowed another small glimpse into the world of art.
